What is worth writing about

  • A puzzle is wrong. A false root, a disputed date, a clue that admits two answers. Corrections take priority over new puzzles.
  • A puzzle is unfair. Solvable only with specialist knowledge, or ambiguous in a way the clues do not resolve.
  • Licensing. Attribution questions about the reference works credited on the credits page.

What is not

Requests for answers to today’s puzzle, and proposals to republish the puzzles elsewhere. The first spoils the point; the second is a conversation for the main site.
